The main objectives of our ACES Academic Enrichment Center Mathematics Program are to :
- provide systematical mathematical training to motivated students;
- provide a platform for the students maximize their potential and dig out their talents in mathematics; and
- identify talented students to receive specialized, more intensive training in order to participate and compete in national mathematics competitions such as MATHCOUNTS and AMC, building valuable credentials for their careers.
Our teaching philosophy is to focus on the essence not the formalism, the fundamentals concepts of mathematics rather than individual tricks. We teach mathematics in a systematic way. Our hope is that the courses we provide could in some sense:
- get the students to appreciate the beauty and elegance of mathematics;
- raise students’ interest in learning mathematics; and
- most importantly help students build a strong foundation in mathematics that will benefit them in the future.
